US closes case against doctor for fraud with COVID-19 certificates

The US has dropped the prosecution of a Utah doctor accused of falsifying vaccination certificates .covid-19 and the destruction of government-provided vaccines worth more than $28,000. This was reported REUTERS .

According to the agency, Dr. Michael Kirk Moore administered saline injections to minors at the request of their parents and then gave them a fictitious certificate of COVID-19 vaccination.

"Dr. Moore gave his patients a choice when the federal government refused. He did not deserve the years in prison he faced. Today, it all ends," Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on social media.

President Donald Trump previously said vaccination against the virus should not be mandatory, and after taking office in January 2025, he signed an executive order reinstating service members suspended for refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19 with full pay and benefits. The presidential administration called their dismissals unfair.

“Despite scientific evidence, the Biden administration discharged healthy service members, many of whom were naturally immune and had dedicated their entire lives to serving our country, for refusing the vaccine againstcovid . The government is long overdue to correct these wrongful dismissals,” the White House said in a statement.
