May 16, Mogilev. Even before the official start of the new working semester in the Mogilev region, schoolchildren and students as part of student teams began to work in their free time - more than 100 children were employed in the region. This was announced to BelTA by the commander of the regional headquarters of student groups of the Mogilev regional organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Oleg Boyko.
"Student teams of the Mogilev region have hard and responsible work to do. The guys are actively creating teams to start work in the third working semester of this year. Today, about 100 people already work as part of 12 teams. They have formed environmental, agricultural, construction, production and service student teams, - he said. - The guys are interested in history and pay close attention to the names of their units, which are given the names of participants in the Second World War and heroes of the USSR. "According to the commander of the regional headquarters, the main influx of student teams is expected in June. “The guys will be freed from studies and will be able to fully engage in this process,” he continued. “Now we are preparing contracts, studying the whole range of issues from wages to the future workplace in order to level out all the roughness and so that young people know where they are going and what can earn."
As Oleg Boyko noted, the operational headquarters of the student teams of the city district executive committees amend the decisions and add new organizations on the basis of which the student teams will work. "This semester, we plan to employ about 5 thousand people. The number is more significant than last year. We are sure that we will cope with the task - today there are more than 3 thousand people who want to find a job for the summer period. This is not to mention those guys who who are still studying. Immediately after graduation, they will also be able to join the student brigade movement."
One of the landmark projects for the residents of the Mogilev region will be the construction of a museum on the Buinichsky field. “Our youth will be represented there as construction student teams. They will also be represented at the All-Belarusian youth construction site - at the Kobrin fortification of the Brest Fortress, at such facilities as MTZ, MAZ, Atlant, Gomselmash. We plan to send our student teams to the city of Voronezh of the Russian Federation for the construction of schools, where the need for them is growing. We will be entrusted with more responsible areas for work," added Oleg Boyko.
One of the student teams is working on the farm of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. Here, after couples, 10 people work - boys and girls, who in the future will become certified specialists in the field of animal husbandry and fish farming. The guys have enough work: their area of responsibility includes almost 400 cows and at least 40 calves. Anastasia Voronova, the commander of the agricultural student brigade, said that student teams are an opportunity not only to earn money, but also to contribute to the development of agriculture, as well as to put into practice the knowledge already gained.
“I am a second-year student at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Aquaculture, I am getting a specialty in livestock engineering. I myself am from the city, I came from the MINSK region,” she says. “Everyone here likes to drink MILK and eat MEAT, but few understand how hard it all can be obtained. I wanted to become a livestock specialist, to immerse myself in this specialty. The animals are very kind, especially the calves. During our studies, we have a lot of practical classes, but those who want to get into the student brigades do not become less because of this. Everyone understands that this is a good practice, where the teacher is not watching you. Here you can interact more with animals, and even here you better understand the mechanisms of this interaction: more experienced employees share secrets. Therefore, the benefits of such work are great. The experience will definitely come in handy in the future."
According to Nikita Skripchenko, the secretary of the PO/RK of the NGO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, 25 people have been employed in the academy as part of the student teams. “These are four student teams: three construction teams and one agricultural team. We have grandiose plans for this year. Our students will take part in the harvesting campaign, work on machinery, and also help in harvesting fruit and vegetable crops,” he said. “This is a convenient practice without interruption from the educational process. Student teams give the opportunity for children to apply theoretical knowledge, while earning good money. "
This year, the BSAA plans to employ about 300 people in the summer and 600 per year.
