Ukraine held talks on food exports to South African countries

Last week, the HEAD of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine, Vladislava Magaletska, held talks on the supply of agricultural products to South African countries.

Food EXPORT issues were discussed during Magaletska's official visit to the Republic of South Africa (South Africa). 

The program for the development of foreign economic activity, prepared by the State Food and Consumer Service, includes the opening of the markets of the southern part of the African continent for Ukrainian producers of MEAT, poultry products and collagen casings for the meat industry. In turn, South African exporters are ready to offer Ukrainians their food products, including such exotic items as crocodile meat.

During the visit, a round table was organized, which was attended by the heads of African missions accredited to South Africa and included in the area of ​​responsibility of the Ukrainian Embassy. They represented Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Mauritius and Madagascar. The population of all these countries is about 100 million people. According to analysts' forecasts, the level of food consumption in South African countries will grow dynamically.
