Russia benefits from trade tensions between China and the West

An article published in the French newspaper Les Marches emphasizes that RUSSIA has profited from these trade disputes. Last March, CHINA opened its markets to Russian pork, leading to a significant increase in shipments – reaching 35,800 tons in the first half of 2025, a 190% increase compared to the same period last year. Pork by-product shipments also increased 4.4-fold, reaching 16,000 tons. EXPORT volumes are projected to reach 80,000 tons by the end of the year. While Russia is steadily strengthening its position in China, pork exports from the US and EU countries are suffering from high tariffs imposed as a result of the trade war.
