Russia is increasing meat exports: achievements by 2025

In the first eight months of 2025, the country exported more than 56 thousand tons of sausages and prepared MEAT products worth almost 170 million US dollars , which demonstrates significant growth compared to the same period last year and confirms the competitiveness of Russian producers.

Kazakhstan leads the world in purchasing Russian meat products with a 49% share, followed by Belarus with 14%, and Saudi Arabia rounding out the top three at 9%. Particularly strong EXPORT growth was observed in Saudi Arabia (1.8 times), Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus (1.5 times each).

One of the most significant events was the start of deliveries to Nigeria and Mozambique, opening new horizons for Russian producers. Deliveries to Kuwait have also resumed, demonstrating the restoration and expansion of trade relations.

Despite these positive trends, Russian exporters must contend with growing competition in international markets, continually improving product quality and adapting to the requirements of different countries. Changes in consumer preferences may also impact demand. Nevertheless, current achievements in the global market offer new opportunities to strengthen Russia's position in the meat sector.
