The new veterinary rules were previously approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA. Their validity is provided until March 1, 2029.
“The new veterinary regulations establish different requirements for personal subsidiary or farm enterprises and large enterprises. The document regulates the norms for keeping small cattle: feeding, walking, prevention and diagnosis of diseases, and also includes new requirements for premises,” said Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Vladislav Murashov.
According to the new requirements for large livestock enterprises, it is necessary to divide into zones the territory where more than 1 thousand heads of small cattle are kept. In addition to the production area with animals, there should be areas for walking, a veterinary and preventive center with a place to store medicines, separate areas for quarantine, storage and processing of manure and disposal of biowaste.
Also, requirements were established for premises for keeping livestock, walking areas, prevention and diagnosis of diseases. The norms for watering and feeding livestock have also been worked out.
Earlier, the governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov, said that professional personnel are involved in selection and genetic work in the field of agro-industrial complex in the region.
“We are working to prepare personnel. This is a very important question. We are discussing joint measures with the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure that young people, scientists come there and implement their skills that they receive in higher educational institutions,” Vorobyov said.
