May 12, Vitebsk. The theft of almost Br1 thousand occurred in a discount store in one of the shopping centers in Vitebsk. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Employees of the store of the regional center found empty packages of goods on the shelves and turned to the police for help. When law enforcers began checking, it turned out that 24 replacement shaving cartridges from different manufacturers were missing almost Br750 and an expensive bottle of Scotch whiskey - more than Br230.The moment of the crime was captured by a surveillance camera. “The footage shows how on April 27, at about 6 pm, an unknown man was in the retail facility. He took out the cassettes from the packages and hid them in his pockets. The buyer put the cases without razors back or hid them among the containers with shampoos . bag," the police department said.
To divert eyes, the attacker paid for a toothbrush and the cheapest shaving gel. He then calmly walked out of the shopping facility. In the store itself, the loss was discovered only two days later.
Investigators opened a criminal investigation into the theft. The identity of the thief is established.
