May 29, MINSK. Police officers will take additional measures to ensure security during the last calls, BelTA informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Solemn events on the occasion of the end of the academic year for graduates of grades 9-11 in institutions of general secondary education will be held on May 30.

According to Alexander Kupchenya, HEAD of the main department for law enforcement and prevention of public security police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to ensure security, police officers will be on duty at each school, rapid response teams will be on duty in the adjacent territory, and access control will be strengthened in the educational institutions themselves.

In addition, to restrict traffic and ensure road safety, crews of the road patrol service of the traffic police will approach the places of concentration of educational institutions.

He drew attention to the fact that if ownerless things, suspicious citizens or objects, illegal actions by unknown persons are found, one should immediately report this to the nearest police station or call 102. He asked parents and teachers to increase vigilance, inform law enforcement agencies in a timely manner about security threats.

After the official celebrations in the regions, various cultural and entertainment events are planned for young people. As the practice of holding similar events of past years shows, many students go to parks, squares, and to the banks of reservoirs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds that for drinking alcoholic, low-alcohol drinks or beer in a public place or appearing there in a state of intoxication, administrative liability is provided.
