June 22, MINSK. The Grodno inter-district department of the Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case of a robbery attack on a 35-year-old man. BelTA was informed about this by Daria Chaplya, official representative of USC in the Grodno region.
As it became known to the investigation, on the evening of June 15, three men (26, 27 and 35 years old) were drinking ALCOHOL in the basement of a residential building . Then a 26-year-old resident of the Grodno region and a 27-year-old resident of Grodno decided to rob their 35-year-old acquaintance. The defendants attacked the man and beat him. After that, threatening with the neck of a broken bottle, they took away his Br70 and a mobile phone. The stolen money was spent on alcohol in a bar.The men were promptly detained by law enforcement officers. "During the interrogation by the investigator, a 27-year-old resident of Grodno said that he had put a 'rose' from a bottle to the victim's throat in order to scare him so that he would not go to the police," the USC noted.
It was found that two men abuse alcohol, previously repeatedly prosecuted, including for serious crimes.
The investigator, with the involvement of a specialist from the UGKSE for the Grodno region, conducted an inspection of the scene, recorded a trace picture, assigned a number of expert studies, interrogated the victim, the accused and witnesses.
The actions of both accused are qualified under part 2 of article 207 (robbery committed by a group of persons with the aim of directly taking possession of property) of the Criminal Code. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was applied to them.
The criminal investigation is ongoing.
