
The founder of AFK "Sistema" Vladimir Yevtushenkov left the post of the board of directors of the company and resigned from its composition at his own request, the holding said in a statement received by RBC.
The post of acting chairman will be taken by Anna Belova, this decision was made by members of the board of directors at a meeting on April 15. “Anna Belova will act as chairman of the board of directors until a new board of directors is elected at the annual general meeting of shareholders of the corporation,” the press service explained.
The quantitative composition of the board of directors in the company is planned to be approved at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on May 19, absentee voting will take place. “The date for determining the persons entitled to participate in the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of AFK Sistema is April 25, 2022,” the document says.
The company noted that those shareholders who voted before May 19 this year will be considered to have taken part in the voting.
Yevtushenkov ceased to control AFK Sistema Business
Yevtushenkov is ranked 41st in the list of the 200 richest Russians according to Forbes, the publication estimated his fortune last year at 3.4 billion rubles.
On April 13 of this year, the businessman fell under British sanctions, on the same day he transferred 10% of the shares of AFK Sistema to his son Felix, reducing his own share to 49.2%. Thus, Vladimir Yevtushenkov ceased to be the controlling shareholder of the company, and his son Felix Yevtushenkov, who is on the board of directors, increased his own stake from 5.2 to 15.2%.

Belova was born in 1961, in 2001-2003 she worked as Deputy Minister of Railways and Communications, then from 2004 to 2005 she served as Deputy Chairman of the Board and Vice President for Corporate Governance, Reform and Informatization of Russian Railways. In 2005-2007, Belova was an adviser to the head of Rosatom, after which she was deputy general director and board member of the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) for four years. For eight years (2008–2016), she also served on the Board of Directors as an independent director of Sheremetyevo International Airport.
Belova joined the Board of Directors of AFK Sistema in 2017, becoming a member of the committees for audit, finance and risks, ethics and control, strategy, and heading the committee for sustainable development and investor relations. She was nominated at the suggestion of a group of minority shareholders. For three years (since June 2019) she has been Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In total, over the past ten years, she has been on the boards of directors of more than 25 Russian and international companies, including High-Speed Lines, Unipro and Tiscali SPA.
Sistema is an investment company with a diversified portfolio of assets in various industries: timber processing (Segezha Group), real estate, tourism and medical services (Medsi), agriculture (Step agricultural holding), banking services (MTS Bank), telecommunications ( MTS), e-commerce (Ozon). AFK was founded in 1993, by 2021 its revenue amounted to 802.4 billion rubles, the volume of total assets - 1.8 trillion rubles.
