By the end of the year, 23 new livestock breeding facilities will be commissioned in the Minsk region

October 30, MINSK . By the end of the year, 23 new livestock breeding facilities are being put into operation in the Minsk region, 20 of them with the support of the city of Minsk, a BELTA correspondent was told in the Agriculture and Food Committee of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

“Currently, the construction of 20 new, modern dairy complexes with a design capacity of 700 heads of cattle is being completed on farms in the region . The facilities are being built with financial support from the budget of the city of Minsk. The main goal of such large-scale construction is to get away from unpromising small farms with tethered housing According to the program for the construction of dairy complexes, another 120 similar facilities will be built in the central region of the country by 2030, of which 20 will be built in 2024,” noted Vladimir Kapustin, deputy chairman of the committee.

In total, over the past three years, more than 160 small-scale farms have been abolished in the region.

“As for three more MTCs, the construction of which will also be completed in 2023, these economic facilities are being built at their own expense,” noted Vladimir Kapustin.
