October 17, MINSK . In Belarus, agricultural products worth Br23.9 billion were produced in January-September, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.
In farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) farms, household farms), agricultural production at current prices amounted to Br23.9 billion and decreased by 0.2% compared to the level of January - September 2022.Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br19.6 billion, or in comparable prices 1.1% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Farms of all categories produced 1331.6 thousand tons of livestock and poultry (in live weight), which is 3.2% more than in January-September last year, MILK - 6290.2 thousand tons (5.6% more). Agricultural organizations account for 97.4% of livestock and poultry production (in live weight), 97.7% of milk and 83.1% of egg production.
As of October 1, 2023, agricultural organizations owned 4.2 million heads of cattle , or 1.1% more compared to the same period, including cows - 1.4 million heads (100.1%). The number of pigs amounted to 2.4 million heads, which is 0.6% more than at the corresponding date of the previous year.
