The development of the complex was discussed by the HEAD of Karelia during a working visit to the Prionezhsky District with the management of Grand Agro LLC, the new owner of the site.
The new investor acquired the premises of the former livestock complex of Mayak LLC at auction in December 2023. Some of the facilities, including the cowshed, maternity and milking departments, have already been renovated. Today, more than 500 heads of cattle are kept here . These are heifers, a dairy herd andcalves . The plans include increasing the herd to 1,500 heads. To do this, it is necessary to build a second "wing" and purchase additional equipment.
As part of the modernization of the complex, Grand Agro restored the automated milking machine. In addition, the enterprise purchased 23 units of agricultural machinery, is forming its own feed base: spring sowing was carried out, more than 5,800 tons of green mass were prepared for hay and haylage. Work is underway to restore melioration systems. Out of 2,600 hectares, 1,000 have already been processed.
"We discussed with the new owner how we will exchange experience with our state-owned enterprises, where we are reconstructing farms, introducing robots, and creating conditions for calves. Of course, we will help such investors who are interested in long-term projects and rural development," said Artur Parfenchikov.
In 2025, the enterprise began producing MILK - today the milk yield is more than 30 liters per day. Grand Agro LLC expects to receive more than 3,000 tons this year, reaching a milk yield of 8,900 kg per cow. Ladva milk is delivered for processing to Slavmo and the local cheese-making enterprise Karelskie Prostory. The milk is also purchased by Lumi, a company specializing in ice cream production.
DIRECTOR of Grand Agro LLC Tatyana Lukina shared her immediate plans with the Head of Karelia: the enterprise is preparing to launch its own milk processing. First of all, they will equip a butter production line. This will require specialists - so far 65 people are working in the updated complex. Most of them are residents of Ladva.
"People are gradually getting used to the fact that the complex has an owner who plans to stay here forever. We are trying not only to revive production, but also to raise the prestige of agricultural professions. We are introducing innovations - we have ordered equipment for our own laboratory. We are ready to share our experience and work on the scientific base. We are in constant contact with our university – we have equipped an agrobioclass at PetrSU. We are waiting for students who will come to us for practical training,” said Tatyana Lukina.
We should add that Grand Agro LLC also closely cooperates with the local school – this year it plans to finance the equipment of an agroclass, where children are taught vegetable growing. The school has already purchased a large greenhouse for practical training.
