July 27, MINSK . The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange plans to increase the number of accredited companies from Pakistan, BelTA learned from the press service of the exchange.

Following the meeting of the Minister of Trade and Investments of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Moscow, Shaukat Hayat Chima, with the leadership of BUCE, priority areas of cooperation were identified, through which it is planned to intensify exchange trading of Belarus not only with Pakistan, but also with other countries of South Asia. In particular, the parties intend to establish cooperation in the field of logistics, which will optimize transport costs and make products sold by Belarusian participants in exchange trading more attractive in terms of price for Pakistani buyers.

"We maintain close contacts with transport and logistics companies that specialize in the delivery of goods from RUSSIA to Pakistan and vice versa. As a rule, multimodal transportation is used using sea, rail and road transport, but a land route through Afghanistan has recently been launched. I think Belarusian exporters working on the exchange platform could also use it.After all, the logistics component seriously affects the final price of the goods, so it is quite possible that the emergence of a more convenient way to deliver products purchased on the exchange will not only give a new impetus to the Pakistani-Belarusian exchange trade, but it will also help attract bidders from other South Asian states," the representative of the Pakistani diplomatic mission in Moscow said.

During the negotiations, promising goods of Belarusian and Pakistani production were also identified, which are expedient for trading through the BUCE electronic platform. For Pakistan, this is the import of lumber, MILK powder, SUGAR and vegetable oils, and for Belarus - the purchase of rice, cereals, yarn and non-ferrous metals. At the same time, according to Irina Narkevich, Deputy Chairman of the Board of BUCE, the use of the exchange mechanism will simplify the entry of Pakistani companies into the Belarusian market, providing direct access to potential business partners.

"The essence of the exchange is to create favorable conditions for trading, which implies a wide range of goods, a high concentration of supply and demand, as well as control over the execution of transactions. We are ready to provide all this to every Pakistani company that decides to do business on our platform. However, for effective functioning The exchange mechanism needs mass character, economies of scale are needed, therefore, in the framework of our interaction with the embassy, I propose to focus on increasing the number of accredited companies from Pakistan. This is the number one goal, the achievement of which is in the mutual interests of our countries," Irina Narkevich emphasized.
