"Zimbabwe is a new market for us. Today we are taking the first steps and starting cooperation with our partner. I note that cooperation with Africa does not end with Zimbabwe. More than 1 billion people live there, so we plan to enter the markets of different countries of this continent. In this Nothing is holding us back today. At the same time, Belarus offers its own technologies for processing and preparing products," said Leonid Zayats.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that Belarus supplies food products to the African continent, but in small volumes. “Logistics between our countries is really expensive, but we will discuss ways to make it cheaper. The volume of food production in Belarus is increasing, so it is necessary that the products disperse faster and the proceeds reach the producer of raw materials faster,” the Deputy Prime Minister added.

According to him, Belarus cooperates with Africa in the industrial sector as well. Thus, Belarusian tractors, forage and grain harvesters, MAZ and BELAZ equipment are sold to the continent.
