The goal of the project is to provide raw materials to enterprises involved in the production of clothing, shoes, bags, as well as enterprises in the furniture and other industries.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tuva, this will be the first large-scale production facility for the primary processing of skins of small and large livestock in the republic.
Currently, the region annually produces about 252 thousand skins of small cattle and 40 thousand skins of cattle. Most of these skins are disposed of or are not in demand.
The new production will make it possible to process the entire volume of hides produced in Tuva and organize their EXPORT . It is expected that 20% of the processed skins will be sold within the republic, and 80% will be exported to Mongolia, the Republic of Khakassia, Altai and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The implementation of the project will solve the problem of disposal and lack of demand for farm animal skins in Tuva, as well as create new jobs.
Currently, there are about 1.5 million heads of small and large livestock in Tuva. The republic is one of the leaders in RUSSIA in terms of livestock numbers and production of livestock products.
The creation of a production facility for processing livestock skins will increase the level of processing of agricultural products in Tuva, diversify the region’s economy and increase export potential.
