Ghana has lifted the ban on the supply of poultry products from Russia

Ghana lifted the ban on the supply of poultry products from RUSSIA on April 19, 2021.

“Following the results of the work between the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of the Republic of Ghana, with the assistance of the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia in the Republic of Ghana, foreign colleagues canceled the previously imposed restrictions due to highly pathogenic avian influenza on the supply of poultry products from the Russian Federation,” Rosselkhoznadzor reports.

The possibility of exporting such controlled goods was resumed from April 19, 2021 from all over Russia. The supply of these products can be carried out by those Russian enterprises that are not located in areas that have restrictions in accordance with the regionalization of the Russian Federation for highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Temporary restrictions on the EXPORT of poultry products from Russia were introduced in November 2020. Before the ban was introduced, about 2.1 thousand tons of poultry MEAT and offal were sent to Ghana from the beginning of 2020.
