The EEC approved the lists of standards for the technical regulations for alcoholic beverages

May 17, Moscow. The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has approved the lists of standards for the technical regulations for alcoholic beverages, BelTA learned from the press service of the EEC.

"The list of standards, as a result of which, on a voluntary basis, compliance with the technical regulations is ensured, includes 149 standards (of which 63 are interstate GOST standards and 86 national (state) standards of member states). And the list of standards containing rules and research methods, in including sampling rules, 680 documents are included," the press service said.

The lists of standards were developed by the Ministry of Finance of RUSSIA jointly with the state bodies of the EAEU countries with the participation of experts and representatives of the business community.

"The decision of the EEC Board enters into force 30 calendar days from the date of its official publication. Considering that the technical regulation will come into force on January 1, 2024, manufacturers and importers of alcoholic beverages and conformity assessment bodies will have approximately 1.5 years to prepare to work in the new conditions, execution of conformity assessment documents and clarification of the scope of accreditation," the press service added.
