
The sown area in the region amounted to 945 thousand hectares, which is 30.6 thousand hectares more than last year. it is also 8 thousand hectares more than it was originally planned to sow in 2022.
615.8 thousand hectares were sown with grain and leguminous crops, 162.3 thousand hectares were sown with oilseeds, 8.7 thousand hectares were planted with potatoes, and 1.04 thousand hectares were planted with vegetables. The first spring sowing was completed by the farmers of the Prokopyevsk municipal district, sowing 63.8 thousand hectares.
“The key task of our farmers is to provide Kuzbass with bread, potatoes and vegetables in full. For this purpose, the area under crops was increased this year. The emphasis was on vegetables - 55 hectares more than last year, potatoes - 312 hectares, and grain crops - 13.9 thousand hectares. We provide comprehensive assistance to our farmers so that they can ensure the food security of the region, this is especially important in the current economic realities,” Governor Sergei Tsivilev said.
About 127 thousand tons of seeds were used in the sowing campaign, of which 16.7 thousand tons were elite. This figure has grown by 90% in five years. Farmers also significantly increased the use of mineral fertilizers to improve crop yields - 99 thousand tons were purchased. This is almost a third more than those indicators that were last year. 7301 units of equipment and various units were involved in the sowing campaign in the fields. Of these, in the current year, agricultural enterprises of the region purchased 36 tractors and 24 grain harvesters.
Agrarians of Kuzbass receive state support for spring field work. This year it amounted to 117.4 million rubles, 229 agricultural enterprises of the region received a subsidy. Including 92.4 million rubles were allocated to support 214 small businesses from the federal budget on the terms of co-financing with the regional budget. By order of Kuzbass Governor Sergey Tsivilev, another 25 million rubles were allocated additionally from the regional budget to support 15 medium and large enterprises that do not fall into the federal program. In addition, enterprises of the agro-industrial complex issued 89 preferential loans for a sowing campaign in the amount of more than 2 billion rubles.
