It is virtually impossible for Russia to be disconnected from the interbank system for transmitting information about SWIFT payments due to oil and gas supplies, Konstantin Gavrilov, head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna on military security and arms control, said on the Izolenta Live YouTube channel.

According to him, there is no talk of disconnecting Russia from SWIFT. “It’s simply impossible, de facto. Well, they turned off Iran, so what? Never mind. Turn off Russia, with oil, gas and all things? Are they laughing?" Gavrilov asked. He expressed confidence that they only wanted to scare people with threats to disconnect from SWIFT.
