Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, DIRECTOR of the Central Scientific Library named after Yakub Kolas of the National Academy of Sciences Stanislav Yuretsky spoke about the developments of the National Academy of Sciences that young people take part in, BelTA has learned.
“The system of work with young scientists is successfully functioning at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Young people get the opportunity to work in the most advanced scientific areas. They take an active part in the development of scientific projects. and their latest achievements," said Stanislav Yuretsky.
He told what youth initiatives deserve attention. "Among the technologies for space exploration, it is necessary to highlight the system of electromagnetic protection of space instruments. Its developer is a young DOCTOR of sciences, deputy general director of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for materials science Alexei Trukhanov. He was one of the first winners of the Union State Prize in the field of science and technology," - drew the attention of the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists.
Also, one of the priority areas is developments in the field of IT-technologies. For example, one of the youth developments of the Joint Institute for Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences concerns computer modeling of drugs.
Young scientists are actively involved in developments for the food industry. Thus, the Institute of the MEAT and Dairy Industry of the National Academy of Sciences is engaged in 3D food printing, the development of new products, for example, for people who do not digest MILK . Young scientists work in various topical areas at the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences for Food, the Institute of Vegetable Growing of the National Academy of Sciences.
A separate block at the exhibition presents developments in the field of the humanities aimed at studying and preserving the historical and cultural heritage. One of the latest developments is devoted to the conservation of archaeological iron (Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences). Artifacts obtained during archaeological excavations are being restored and then exhibited in museums.
