According to experts, there are currently 11 flood-prone areas in the region. "In the Sozha basin - Gomel, Vetkovsky districts and Gomel, Iput - Dobrushsky, Dnieper - Loevsky, Rechitsky, Rogachevsky, Pripyat - Mozyr, Petrikovsky, Zhitkovichsky districts, Berezina - Svetlogorsky," the center specified.All interested services and business entities of the region are prepared and are doing everything necessary to minimize the consequences of water spills, prevent emergencies and damage to the national economy and people, the center noted.
State sanitary supervision institutions are ready to carry out more sanitary-hygienic, microbiological studies of water and disinfection measures. An adequate supply of disinfectants has been created. The chief state sanitary doctors of the administrative territories agreed on schedules for additional sampling and testing of tap and well water samples.
Due to the rise in groundwater levels, the quality of well water, as a rule, deteriorates significantly, experts recalled. At the same time, there may be no visible impurities, the taste of water may remain unchanged. “At this time, you should not drink water from a well without a preliminary assessment of its quality in a laboratory. As for private wells, there is control over individuals to whom the wells belong. epidemiology," the institution said.
If there is no information about the quality of water for cooking, drinking, then you should use bottled water. If this is not possible, well water must be boiled or special preparations for disinfection must be used to eliminate the microbial hazard.
"Flood waters can contain and create favorable conditions for pathogens of intestinal infections in the environment, food products and water. Rodents and small animals - carriers of many diseases, fleeing floods, rush to residential buildings and buildings. Of particular relevance are the usual rules of personal hygiene: wash your hands with soap before preparing food, before eating, after using the toilet or after returning from the street.
It is important to observe the temperature regime and the shelf life of products in the refrigerator. Do not leave cooked food at room temperature for more than two hours. And it is better to keep cooked MEAT and fish separately from products that have not been heat-treated.
It is necessary to protect products from flies and rodents, to maintain cleanliness and order in the house. Do not forget about the disinfection of toilets, garbage bins and containers, food preparation areas that have fallen under flooding after the melt water has drained.
