According to the results of the current year, milk production in the world will grow by 1.5%. This is stated in the report of the FAO - the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

According to FAO experts, world milk production will reach 928 million tons. Growth will occur in all major producing countries, and first of all, the organization notes Asia and North America.

In addition, global trade in dairy products is projected to expand as the economy recovers from disruptions caused by the CORONAVIRUS pandemic.

In recent months, an increase in domestic production and sluggish consumer demand have slowed down the pace of growth in dairy imports.

The document also forecasts a modest increase in milk production in Europe due to increased milk yields and favorable weather conditions in the spring, which will improve the condition of pastures and contain rising feed costs. Also, a slight increase in milk production is expected in the countries of Central America and the Caribbean - there this will happen at the expense of industrial farms.
