Not the edge, but a tourist paradise

Ivanovshchina is not only an agricultural region of the country. Gradually, it becomes the tourist center of Polissya. Thousands of guests are gathered by the culinary festival "Motalsky prysmaki", almost every village and agro-town is saturated with history here. The Ivanovo region gave the world of art the famous artist Napoleon Orda, and Israel - the first president, Chaim Weizmann. Belarusian entrepreneurship arose in Molodovo - it was developed by the Skirmuntov dynasty, in Dostoevo the history of the family of the Russian classic Fyodor Dostoevsky began. What else is remarkable about this region, says Anatoly Tkachuk, chairman of the Ivanovo district executive committee.

- It's too early to talk about the new harvest - the harvest is in full swing. Anatoly Vladimirovich, are you generally satisfied with the work of the Ivanovo farmers?

– A good reserve has been created for the harvest of 2021. In autumn, the farms did a good job, having completed the sowing of winter grains on an area of ​​15 thousand hectares, and rapeseed occupied another 4.5 thousand hectares. In the spring, in the optimal agrotechnical terms, spring crops were sown. Right now the harvest is in full swing.

Farmers have no time to rest. Grassy fodder was actively harvested, the quality of which directly affects indicators in animal husbandry.

In this area, by the way, there are also good results: in 2020, MILK production amounted to 127.3 thousand tons (108.5% compared to 2019), milk yield per cow - 7622 kg. In terms of the productivity of cows, the Ivanovo district occupies the second position in the region and the sixth in the country!

For four months of this year, 44.2 thousand tons of milk have already been produced.

Grain growers did a decent job at the end of 2020. Gross threshing of cereals and leguminous crops (including corn) - more than 111 thousand tons in net weight. From each hectare we received 42.7 centners of grain and 27.4 centners of rapeseed. The harvest of fruits and berries almost doubled the level of 2019 - 2 thousand tons. We were also pleased with potatoes: with an average yield of 280 c/g, about 26 thousand tons were harvested.

We build and reconstruct farms. Three were put into operation last year - at OAO Dostoevo, OAO Bakunovo and OAO Masherovsky. All these dairy farms have modern milking units.

– What significant investment projects are being implemented in the region?

- First of all, I want to tell you about two such projects of the agricultural sector of the region. The total investment is 6.1 million rubles. The projects involve the reconstruction and technical modernization of dairy farms in two agricultural enterprises.

JSC "Belsolod" is working on its projects. They are aimed at increasing the efficiency of brewing malt production. The construction of local treatment facilities is nearing completion on the territory of the production site of OAO Savushkin Product in the city of Ivanovo. Reconstruction of structures on the eastern slope of the Dnieper-Bug Canal continues.

– Housing construction is a priority for any region. Ivanovsky is no exception?

- Every year we put into operation about 15 thousand square meters. meters from all sources of funding. Since the beginning of the year, more than 5 thousand square meters have already been occupied. meters. In February, construction began on a 60-apartment building in the new Vostochny microdistrict. Its total area is 3.6 thousand square meters. meters of housing.

What about the construction of social facilities?

- This year we plan to open a significant facility - a multifunctional sports complex on Karl Marx Street. On its basis we are going to create an educational and sports institution with two swimming pools. In addition, there will be a bath complex with a sauna, a hall for team sports - volleyball, basketball, tennis and mini-football.

What places of interest would you recommend to tourists?

- To see all the sights of the Ivanovsky district, one day is not enough. First of all, I would suggest walking in the footsteps of our famous fellow countryman Napoleon Orda, looking into the museum complex dedicated to him. Which, by the way, is recognized as one of the best in all of Belarus! Now the exposition of the manor house of Napoleon Orda is being created.

Be sure to visit the Museum of Folk Art in the agricultural town of Motol. There you will feel the true flavor of Polissya: eight exhibition halls reveal the peculiarities of the cultural life of this region. You can touch the sacrament of folk medicine in the "Herbalist's House" of the Motol Museum of Folk Art - there are more than 120 fragrant healing exhibits.

In the village of Mokhro, visit the art gallery of the Belarusian artist Aleksey Kuzmich. Another interesting exposition - "Agoўskі kuferak", which contains unique chests, was opened in the village of Lyakhovichi on the basis of the village House of Culture.

A special place on the tourist map of the region is occupied by the village of Dostoevo. From here began the history of the family of the great Russian writer. The local school bears the name of Fyodor Dostoevsky. Since 1982, a museum has been operating in it, where there are more than 3 thousand exhibits.

Our lands are famous for masters with golden hands. For example, the only school of cooperage in Belarus operates on the basis of the Ivanovo children's school of arts of folk arts and crafts - be sure to look there too.

In addition, out of 31 points of the Struve Arc, which are in Belarus, three are located on the territory of the Ivanovsky district. In 2005 they were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. You can see all of them with your own eyes.

This year Ivanovo will open an important social facility - a multifunctional sports complex.
