November 11, MINSK. Volunteers of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of the Grodno regional organization handed over humanitarian aid to refugees in a spontaneous camp on the Belarusian-Polish border, Andrey Yesin, first secretary of the Grodno regional committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, told a BelTA correspondent.

“There are more than 2,000 refugees on the border, including women and children. They live and sleep on the ground, they are in dire need of food, water and medicine. We cannot stand aside and are ready to provide all possible assistance, which depends on us "We gave a call. People with kind hearts responded to the call of the Youth Union. They helped us fill about 200 grocery bags with bakery, sausages, water, fruits, vegetables, MILK, baby food, which are so necessary for kids. Today, our volunteers helped deliver to camp these products," Andrey Esin said.

According to him, the volunteers who brought humanitarian aid to the refugee camp found it difficult to contain their emotions from what they saw. "Today's situation on the border is a blatant act of inhumanity. We see how ordinary people who find themselves in a difficult situation suffer. People who just wanted to live well, so that no one would interfere with their way of life with their democracy. Now they have nothing: not at home, nor the opportunity to find a new one, because someone over the hill believes that he can decide who can live well and who can freeze in the cold forest," Andrey Esin emphasized.

The first secretary of the regional committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union noted that there is no small amount of help. "We will continue collecting food, warm clothes, hygiene products and will promptly deliver it to the camp for internally displaced persons," he added.
