More than 36,000 heads of cattle were vaccinated against FMD in the Amur Region

“Today, in the Amur Region, a stable group immunity to foot-and-mouth disease has been formed in cattle . it is 82% against the target of 75%,” the veterinary department noted.

The last time FMD was recorded in the region was in 2013.

“Because of the neighborhood with regions that are unfavorable for this disease in the Amur Region, there are still risks of introducing a dangerous disease into the territory,” the department noted.
