More than four tons of meat seized and destroyed in Crimea and Sevastopol

More than four tons of MEAT products without labeling and veterinary accompanying documents were confiscated from three individual entrepreneurs from Simferopol and Sevastopol.

During an on-site inspection in Simferopol, inspectors found 1,235 kilograms of offal, meat and sausages in cold stores, the origin of which the owner could not confirm. In addition, they were stored without observing sanitary standards.

Another Simferopol entrepreneur found 1935 kilograms of frozen meat without marking and veterinary accompanying documents. A release date could not be established.

In Sevastopol, representatives of the Southern Interregional Directorate of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR seized 256 kilograms of expired poultry, pork and beef, which was easy to identify by appearance and rotten smell.

The total weight of products unsafe for human HEALTH amounted to 4225 kilograms. All of it was destroyed in accordance with the established rules.

In total, in March, the Southern Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor issued 26 warnings to food industry enterprises and grocery stores, including seven warnings. The amount of fines exceeded 1 million rubles.
