RUSSIA in March 2022 increased food production by 1.1% compared to March 2021 and by 10.6% compared to February of this year, follows from the materials of Rosstat.
In particular, the production of cattle MEAT, pork, lamb, goat meat, horse meat and meat of other animals in March increased by 10.6% in annual terms, to 286.2 thousand tons, the production of pork (steam, cooled or chilled) increased by 10.8%, up to 260.3 thousand tons. The production of chilled poultry meat in March compared to the same month in 2021 increased by 5.9%, to 292.2 thousand tons, and the production of boiled sausages - by 4%, to 137.3 thousand tons.
The volume of production of frozen fish in March this year compared to March last year decreased by 7%, to 263.2 thousand tons, frozen fish fillet - increased by 54.8%, to 39.8 thousand tons. The output of canned fish in March decreased by 4.6% to 52.51 million standard cans.
The output of unrefined sunflower oil and its fractions in March increased over the year by 1.7%, to 557.1 thousand tons, refined - by 13.5%, to 222.6 thousand tons. The production of white beet SUGAR in March decreased by 35.9%, to 44.3 thousand tons, rice - increased by 49.5%, to 59.3 thousand tons, and buckwheat in annual terms was produced more by 35.9% - 57 thousand tons.
The production of wheat and wheat-rye FLOUR in March increased by 12.3%, to 812.6 thousand tons, the production of pasta - by 17.7%, to 147.7 thousand tons. MILK in March 2022 was produced by 6% more than in March 2021 - 514.1 thousand tons, cheese production increased by 5.7%, to 52.7 thousand tons. Chocolate and confectionery products with sugar were produced in March by 16.9% more than a year ago - 137 thousand tons.
