Cabbage planting started at SHPK Combine Teplichny

The technological process practically does not require human intervention. From sowing to planting in the soil, seedlings grow in cassettes. Growing in this way has a number of advantages: almost 100% survival rate, resistance to diseases and pests in any weather.
The company also prepares a wide range of varieties and crops for Vologda summer residents: white, red and cauliflower, broccoli, kohlrabi, tomato, pepper, eggplant, cucumber, zucchini, melon, watermelon, green crops (leek, parsley, basil, celery ). In the same list - seedlings of flower crops.
“The production of seedlings of flower and vegetable crops for the population is also carried out by the SHPK Plemzavod Maisky, OOO Sad-Stroy. In total, these enterprises plan to prepare for sale to the population more than one million pieces of cabbage, about 50 thousand pieces of table beet, 100 thousand pieces of tomato, more than 70 thousand pieces of pepper and eggplant, about 60 thousand pieces of cucumber, as well as 30-32 thousand pieces of zucchini, pumpkin, melon and watermelon. In addition, about 500 thousand seedlings of flowers were sown, - said Deputy Governor Mikhail Glazkov. “In recent years, there has been a tendency to reduce the area under crops in personal subsidiary farms, but thanks to the course taken towards import substitution, personal subsidiary farming will receive a new round of development.”
Since 1991, most of the open ground vegetables have been grown on private farms. Last season, this category of farms produced 25.9 thousand tons of open ground vegetables, which is, respectively, 78.5% of the total volume. On their plots, Vologda residents mainly grow borsch vegetables: potatoes, onions, cabbage, carrots and beets.
