“The Saratov region continues to maintain a leading position in the Volga Federal District in terms of grain threshing and is one of the leaders in terms of harvesting rates. By August 8, the farmers of the region harvested 3 million 76 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops with an average yield of 26.9 q/ha. The gross harvest of the last 24 hours is 243.1 thousand tons,” Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, Minister of Agriculture of the region, said today.
Harvest 2023 is approaching the equator: to date, 1,144.9 thousand hectares have been harvested, which is 49% of the plan.
The highest cleaning rates are shown by Rivne, where 76.9% of the area was cleaned, as well as Pitersky (69.9%), Krasnokutsky (63.1%) and Ivanteevsky (62.3%) municipal districts.
In terms of gross harvest in the Right Bank, Balashovsky and Samoilovsky districts are in the lead - 187.7 thousand tons and 156.3 thousand tons, on the left bank the best result is for grain growers of Pugachevsky and Ershovsky districts, where 191.3 thousand tons and 156 thousand tons are harvested grains, respectively.
The three leading districts in terms of yield look like this: Balashovsky - 44.7 centners / ha, Kalininsky - 39.6 centners / ha, Arkadaksky - 38.9 centners / ha.
