This year, the district plans to open two fish processing enterprises in Nadym. In Novy Urengoy, to expand an existing workshop. The new plants will be maximally focused on the processing of fish, which is harvested in the eastern part of the district.
More than 10,000 tons of fish are harvested annually in the region, its deep processing is carried out by nine enterprises included in the register of processors, which produce over 200 types of finished fish products.
On behalf of the Governor of the YNAO Dmitry Artyukhov, a new mechanism of state support for the industry is being implemented in the region. it is aimed at stimulating the production and sale of highly processed fish products in the Okrug. In the new economic conditions, this will provide the region with its own products and reduce dependence on imports.
Commercial fishing is carried out by more than 100 enterprises of various forms of ownership, including communities of indigenous peoples of the North. The Aksarkovskoye fishing enterprise has the best fishing results - 100 tons of fish, the second place in terms of catch volumes is Svyatogor LLC - 95 tons, the third is the Tolkinskaya agricultural company with 86 tons. In total since the beginning of the year fishery organizations of the Autonomous Okrug have caught more than 800 tons of fish. Mostly it is pike, ide, burbot, ruff, roach. Among the whitefish species caught are peled, broad whitefish, whitefish and vendace.
All regional fish processing enterprises are ready to receive fish from fishers. For the first quarter, the output of finished products amounted to more than 500 tons, of which more than 100 tons are canned food.
“Now most of the fish catchers have already completed ice fishing. Enterprises are starting to prepare for summer fishing - to purchase netting materials, fuels and lubricants, to carry out maintenance of the fleet," said Anatoly Markin, HEAD of the sector for the development of the fishery complex of the YNAO Agro-Industrial Complex.
Support for fishing enterprises in Yamal has traditionally been the focus of government policy. Within the framework of the district program “Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex”, fish producers are compensated for the costs, including those for wages, utility bills, rent of retail premises, veterinary and sanitary services and bank services. Industry support measures are financed from the regional budget.
