The best plowmen were named in the Vologda region

28 participants from nineteen districts of the Vologda Oblast fought for the title of the best plowman. The XXII regional competition of plowmen was held today near the village of Smetanino, Verkhovazhsky district.
The competition was attended by the winners of regional competitions. Holding regional competitions for machine operators is a good tradition that was formed in the Vologda region back in Soviet times. Unfortunately, it was interrupted in the 90s of the last century. In the early 2000s, the competition was renewed.
Participants of the competition were greeted by Deputy Governor of the region Mikhail Glazkov.
“The profession of a farmer, a plowman is the very first and most important of the huge list of specialties in the agricultural industry. Everything starts from the land, from the field - both crop production and animal husbandry. Your profession will always be in demand,” said Mikhail Glazkov. - Taking into account automation, informatization, agriculture is changing more and more. But in our conditions of the Russian north, the northern non-chernozem region, when small small-scale fields had to be won back from nature, from forests and swamps, we cannot replace the hands, professionalism, and experience of a plowman with anything. And most importantly - your love for the land, for agriculture. It is very important that interest in the profession of a plowman is being revived. No matter how modern and complex the technique may be, it still depends on the person what the result will be!
The winners were determined in three nominations: "Driven plowing", "Figured driving" and "Young machine operators". As a result, the places were distributed as follows.
In the nomination "Driven plowing": 1st place: Anton Lukin (Kaduisky district); 2nd place: Evgeny Pshenichnikov (Nikolsky district); 3rd place: Viktor Korznikov (Kichmengsko-Gorodetsky district). In the nomination "Figure driving": 1st place: Alexander Brechalov (Verkhovazhsky district); 2nd place: Evgeny Chaikin (Ustyuzhensky district); 3rd place: Dmitry Berezin (Babaevsky district). In the nomination "Young machine operators": 1st place: Dmitry Dobrynin (Syamzhensky district); 2nd place: Kirill Ivanenko (Sheksninsky district); 3rd place: Maxim Vasendin (Verkhovazhsky district).
