Sowing of winter crops has started in the Stavropol Territory

The autumn sowing campaign has started in the Stavropol Territory. One of the first in the region began sowing Neftekumsk urban district.
The HEAD of the Stavropol Rosselkhoztsentr, Andrey Yuryevich Oleinikov, together with the head of the department of agriculture and environmental protection of the administration of the Neftekumsk urban district Balbekov Shakhmurat Durdalievich visited the sown areas.
Farms such as Agrofirma KITs LLC, Kayasulinskoye OJSC and Mahmud-Mektebskoye LLC were the first to start sowing winter crops.
In total, it is planned to sow seeds in the Neftekumsky district on an area of ​​40.7 thousand hectares, of which 1.6 thousand hectares have already been sown today by Agrofirma KITs LLC. This farm plans to sow in the fields both durum (Krupinka variety of domestic selection, weight of 1000 seeds varies from 43 to 45 g) and soft wheat varieties (Tanya variety of domestic selection, weight of 1000 seeds varies from 38 to 40 g) .
Sowing by agricultural producers of the district is carried out only with high-quality seed material, checked by specialists of the regional department of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhozcenter" in the Stavropol Territory.
The plan for backfilling in the region is 7,000 thousand tons, of which 4,523 thousand tons have been checked by the regional Rosselkhozcenter. All tested seed material is conditioned and meets the requirements of GOST.
In general, in the Stavropol Territory, for sowing winter crops for the 2023 harvest, it is necessary to prepare and test 365.4 thousand tons of seeds. To date, 321.5 thousand tons have been checked. of which 100% meets the requirements of GOST.
The percentage of provision with conditioned seeds of winter crops in the region is 88%, which is 8.1% higher on the same date last year). The planned sown area for the future harvest of winter crops is 1991 thousand hectares (more than last year by 28.5 thousand hectares), of which, to date, 16.3 thousand hectares have been sown.
We also recall that quite recently the Stavropol agrarians started harvesting corn. In total, 136.4 thousand hectares are to be harvested, of which 20.4 thousand hectares have already been harvested. The gross harvest is 102.3 thousand tons.
As for the Neftekumsk urban district, its farmers harvested 0.5 thousand tons of corn grain with an average yield of 111 centners per hectare on an area of ​​47 hectares (47% of the sown area).
