US sanctions on RUSSIA have failed, Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Green said on social network X (formerly Twitter), urging the US authorities to stop allocating money to Ukraine .
“America has sent $113 billion to the government of Ukraine, continues to send $1 billion every month, and [U.S. President Joe] Biden wants [to give] another $20 billion. Meanwhile, Russia is getting richer and America is getting trillions poorer. US sanctions have failed. No more money for Ukraine!” Green wrote.
On August 11, the US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control expanded the sanctions list against Russians and Russian organizations. The former (German Khan and Alexei Kuzmichev) and current shareholders of Alfa-Bank (Petr Aven and Mikhail Fridman) were subject to restrictions. Also, for the first time, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was included in the sanctions lists.
