In the Rostov region, the incidence of covid began to grow

Over the past day, 161 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection have been detected in the Rostov region. This is reported by Rospotrebnadzor.

Thus, the total number of cases increased to 374,944. Two days earlier, on May 17, only 72 cases were recorded in the region, on May 18 - already 101 cases. The infection spread rate increased to 1.36.

For the entire period, 362945 people recovered in the region, 170 people per day. 240 patients receive treatment in hospitals. Five people are in serious condition on invasive ventilation, 20 people are on non-invasive ventilation.

During the day, two more patients died from covid. Over the entire period, 10,913 people became victims of covid-19 .

To date, 2072.5 thousand people have been vaccinated against a new coronavirus infection, 642 per day. 2017.6 thousand people have completed vaccination, 167 per day.

As RBC Rostov previously reported, the chief sanitary DOCTOR of the Rostov region, Yevgeny Kovalev, said that the region is not going to cancel the mask regime yet, as it curbs the spread of infection.
