Belarus intends to gain $2 million from the export of breeding stock in 2019

Belarus has been exporting about $500 thousand worth of livestock since the beginning of 2019 and expects to reach $2 million by the end of the year, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Brylo, as BelTA reports.

Igor Brylo notes that the Belarusian cattle are in demand outside the country. The main directions - Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan - have already reached about $500 thousand of exports since the beginning of the year.

"We plan to Export tribal livestock in the amount of $2 million by the end of the year," said the deputy minister.

He added that Belarus has worked out the technology of marble beef production. Deputy Minister believes that processing companies and retail chains should promote such products as premium-class Meat.

"We annually increase its production. In 2018, we processed more than 3 thousand tons of such meat, which was laid on the shelves of our stores. IT was only the domestic market, now we have a very important direction - export, "- said Igor Brylo.
