Chuvashia is among the leaders in the Volga Federal District in the export of bread and flour confectionery

According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, over the 11 months of this year, the export of agricultural products from the Chuvash Republic amounted to $41.7 million, which exceeds the result for the whole of 2020 by 12.6% (excluding trade with the EAEU countries in November). 23.5 thousand tons of products were shipped.

“In the structure of the Chuvash agro-export, more than a third of shipments fall on bread and flour confectionery (TN VED code 1905). In terms of the supply of these products, the region is in a leading position among the subjects of the Volga Federal District and in 9th place in the country with an indicator of $14 million. Waffles and wafer wafers ($12.7 million) are mainly exported, the main buyer of which is China,” said experts from the Chuvash branch of the Center for Agroanalytics.
