Gunzburg called it necessary to vaccinate students against COVID-19

Head of the Center Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg urged Russian students to get vaccinated against coronavirus before the start of the new academic year. He told TASS about this.

“Yes, I would definitely take root. It is imperative to get vaccinated, this will help to avoid outbreaks [of infection],” Gunzburg said, answering a relevant question from journalists.

Students are a young team that spends a long time indoors - classrooms. “Vaccination is simply necessary,” Gunzburg stressed.

In early August, the Minister of Education and Science, Valery Falkov, said that vaccination for students (including foreign ones) of higher educational institutions is optional. “Any restrictions in educational, scientific, creative or other activities, depending on the presence or absence of vaccination among students, are unacceptable,” Falkov said.
