For example, the country produces 908 kg of milk per person per year, and consumes 240 kg, that is, the production indicator is 3.8 times higher than the consumed volumes, - noted Maria Klimova. - For comparison, in the EU countries, the level of self-sufficiency in the dairy group is significantly lower and is 117%. In some Eastern European countries (Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania), it is at the level of 60-70%. Greece set an anti-record, where the level of milk supply is 51%. This means that we have something to be proud of: we have an extremely developed dairy complex in the agricultural sector, into which high technologies are being introduced."

Thus, on average, Belarusians consume 101 kg of meat per person per year, and produce 139 kg. The country also grows 438 kg of potatoes per person per year, while eating 162 kg. In 2023, Belarus produced 835 kg of grain, 305 kg of vegetables, and 379 eggs per capita.

Regarding the results of the industry for January-October, Maria Klimova noted: "The results are very good." In general, the growth rate of agricultural production in the agro-industrial complex was 104.9%. According to the specialist, the growth was mainly due to the livestock sector, namely cattle and poultry farming (103.4%). In milk, the plus in production was formed at the level of almost 106%, while other countries are growing by 101-102%. The growth rate of egg production is 113%.
