Ministry of Agriculture and Food, BelTA has learned. Until now, he was the Chairman of the Kamenets District Executive Committee, and earlier - the Chairman of the Zhabinka District Executive Committee. Characterizing the new Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Yury Shuleiko noted his persistence in achieving goals. "Look at how Kamenets District has developed - it is especially important for the economy and agriculture of the Brest Region. The district has achieved very good results. It has succeeded in Zhabinka as well," he said.
Yury Shuleiko stressed that crop production is the most important area, and the development of livestock farming depends on feed. "The weather conditions will not improve. We will compensate for this with the internal potential of the Academy of Sciences, our plant growing, the experience of our leaders," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized. "We need to finish sowing winter rapeseed, we will soon start sowing winter barley, prepare the fields. We need to harvest corn." Aleksandr Yakovchits previously held the position of deputy chairman of Belgospischeprom, and before that he worked in the consumer cooperative sector. According to Yuri Shuleiko, his experience in these areas will be useful to him in his new position. He noted that livestock farming is currently under special attention. "We work in conjunction with Belgospischeprom, so you understand where you have come. A very responsible position. Get to work, roll up your sleeves.
