Brest region this year increased milk production by 4%

December 2, Luninets. The growth rate of MILK production in the Brest region at the end of the year will be 104.3%. Yury Shuleiko, chairman of the regional executive committee, told Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko in Luninets on December 2, BelTA has learned.

The Prime Minister is on a working trip today. Roman Golovchenko visited the Luninets Dairy Plant, where the problems and prospects of the processing industry were discussed with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Brylo.

The dairy plant is one of the most developed and economically stable enterprises in the Luninets region, which specializes in the production of butter, powdered milk and whole milk products. Next year, they plan to double the volume of milk processing and bring it up to 600 tons per day. To do this, the company begins to build a new workshop for the production of dry concentrate.

The prime minister was introduced to the line of innovative products that the plant (the first and so far the only one in the republic) produces from A2 milk, which is not inferior to goat milk in its qualities. According to experts, this dairy product is well absorbed by children and adults, does not cause inflammatory processes, and strengthens the immune system. As DIRECTOR of the enterprise Sergey Karpets noted, the products are in high demand in the foreign market.

The HEAD of government drew attention to packaging issues, in particular glass containers, in which innovative products are produced, noting the need to develop the domestic glass industry.

In the afternoon in Pinsk, under the chairmanship of Roman Golovchenko, an off-site meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers on the development of cities and regions with a population of 80,000 or more will be held.
