
In the Ulyanovsk region, in connection with the launch of a new Karsun poultry farm, the region is rapidly increasing chicken production. According to data provided by Governor Alexey Russky, 6.1 thousand tons of poultry MEAT were produced in 2023, which is a significant increase compared to the previous year. This positive trend confirms the need for further expansion of production in the region.
According to the acting Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexey Leushkin, the area of the new poultry farm is 12 hectares, and the project is being implemented in two stages. Last year, an incubation workshop building was built, equipment with a capacity of 135 thousand pieces per month was installed, and four buildings were prepared for growing poultry meat. At the moment, the equipment of the buildings has been completed, and the incubator equipment has been installed. In February, the first batch of 35 thousand broiler chickens was planted at the poultry farm, and the second batch was planted in March.
According to plans, the total number of poultry at the factory will be 1.9 million pieces per year, and the production capacity of the project after its completion will reach 4 thousand tons of poultry meat annually. This is a significant contribution to ensuring food security in the region and an incentive for the development of the municipality’s economy.
