Russian poultry industry shows steady growth in meat and egg production in 2025

In January 2025, 268.3 million chicken eggs and 47.5 thousand tons of poultry MEAT in live weight were produced. This means an increase in meat production by 4.5% compared to the previous year, amounting to 558.2 thousand tons, and egg production increased by 5.7%, reaching 3.3 billion pieces. Bobyleva noted that such growth rates are likely to be maintained until the end of 2025 due to investments in the modernization of production facilities, improved veterinary control and the introduction of modern technologies.

These achievements were discussed at the International Scientific and Practical Conference of Poultry Farm Veterinarians, held at the end of February at the Federal Animal HEALTH Protection Center. Veterinary control and disease prevention remain priority tasks to ensure stable growth of the industry. In addition, Russian poultry farming is actively working to improve product quality by introducing new standards and technologies that meet the growing demand for high-quality and safe products.
