Export of Moscow agro-industrial products to Canada amounted to $1.2 million

In the first three months of this year, the EXPORT of Moscow agro-industrial products to CANADA amounted to $1.2 million. This is 3.5% more than in the same period last year, when the supply of agricultural products was estimated at $1.15 million, the Moscow Mayor's press service reported.

According to Alexander Prokhorov, HEAD of the Department for Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow, the export of agro-industrial products from the capital to Canada has shown steady growth over the past three years. In 2018, it was $3.48 million, and in 2019 this figure increased by 24.9% to $4.34 million. In 2020, exports continued their positive dynamics and reached $4.72 million, which is 8.6% more in 2019.

The main food product of the capital's exporters in the Canadian market is ice cream. Canadian consumers are also supplied with chocolate and sugary products, and a wide range of bakery products, such as cookies, waffles, crackers and dryers.
