Agricultural grants will be received by 20 farmers in the Amur region for the development of family farms totaling 140 million rubles, according to the website of the regional government on Tuesday.

“This year, the participants of the competitive selection fought for the Agrostartup grant and the grant for the development of family farms. As a result, 28 applicants for grant support were submitted. According to the results of the competitive selection, the Agrostartup grant will be received by nine farms for a total amount of almost 30 million rubles. Another 11 farms have won a grant for the development of family farms. They will receive more than 110 million rubles in grant funds,” the statement says.

With the help of the grant, the winners of the competition plan to purchase livestock, tractors, grain and potato harvesters. In addition, grantees will be able to purchase land cultivation and plant care equipment, MEAT processing equipment and the construction of a potato storage facility.

In 2022, the authorities of the Amur region spent 108.5 million rubles on agricultural grants. The "Agrostartup" competition is held under the national project "Small and Medium Enterprises". In 2023, the maximum size of Agrostartup was increased by 2 million rubles - from 5 to 7 million rubles for those who breed cattle, from 3 to 5 million rubles for those who work in crop production or are engaged in other areas of agriculture.
