More than 250 pedestrians brought to justice for traffic violations over the weekend in the Vitebsk region

January 30, MINSK. On the roads of the Vitebsk region over the past weekend, 21 accidents with material damage were registered, six of them occurred in the regional center. BelTA was informed about this by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

State traffic inspectors detained eight drunk drivers and 19 lawless people. More than 250 pedestrians have been brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules. Of these, 25 were under the influence of ALCOHOL , and another 105 did not identify themselves with retroreflective elements.

The State traffic inspectorate of the Vitebsk region strongly recommends that drivers choose a safe speed and distance to the vehicle in front, be extremely careful while driving, and take into account weather and road conditions. Pedestrians must strictly comply with the requirements of traffic rules and identify themselves with flickers at night.
