The ambassador assured that the transit of goods that do not fall under the restrictive measures of the European Union "works normally." Vilnius does not take unilateral measures against Moscow, but applies sanctions, the diplomat said.

In addition, the ban includes purebred horses, truffles and their products, cigars, perfumes, dishes made of porcelain, stone, faience or ceramics, household appliances worth more than €750, sound recording equipment worth more than €1000, musical instruments worth more than €1500 and other goods. From the beginning of December, it is planned to ban the transportation of oil and oil products through Lithuania.

Kaliningrad Governor Anton Alikhanov called the transit situation a gross violation of international obligations by Lithuania and the EU. Moscow protested to Vilnius and demanded that the restrictions be lifted immediately.
