The issue with the approval of the Russian vaccine "Sputnik V" can be resolved in early autumn. This was announced at a briefing in Geneva by Assistant Director General of the World HEALTH Organization (WHO) Mariangela Simao. The briefing was broadcast on the organization's YouTube channel.
According to her, the process of approval of the Russian vaccine continues. “We are currently carrying out legal procedures. I cannot give an exact date. But there is good news. We have been studying the possibility of including this vaccine as part of the COVAX mechanism since July. Perhaps this issue will be resolved in early or mid-September,” Simao said.
