As Andrey Sheptytsky, senior assistant to the HEAD of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Tatarstan, said today, a criminal case has been opened and is being investigated under paragraph “a” of Part 3 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery).

“According to the investigation, in November 2021, the suspects acted as intermediaries in the transfer of a BRIBE in the amount of 37.5 thousand rubles for the issuance of certificates of preventive vaccination against a new CORONAVIRUS infection to three residents of the republic, without actually undergoing vaccination.
Leaving a part of the money for themselves, through another citizen they transferred it to the nurse of one of the city's medical institutions. The latter, not having the skills to handle the state register of vaccinated people, asked for help from a former employee of the institution, who previously had access to the register, who entered false information there for 10 thousand rubles. As a result, citizens illegally received vaccination certificates,” Sheptytsky said.

On October 21, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Tatarstan reported that 38 criminal cases were initiated in the region on fake QR codes and certificates. 41 facts of their manufacture were revealed.
