The federal budget allocated 194 million rubles for the creation of oxygen stations in Bashkiria. This was announced by the Minister of Finance of the Republic Lira Igtisamova at a meeting of the Committee of the State Assembly - Kurultai of the Republic of Belarus on HEALTH, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs.
Salavat Rakhmatullin, deputy of the State Assembly, chief physician of the Birsk Central District Hospital, pointed out the problem of a lack of medical oxygen in the context of an increase in the incidence of covid-19 . He said that the cost of gas is growing, there is a shortage.
“In the past two months, a difficult oxygen situation has arisen in the healthcare system. Consumption has skyrocketed. Prices have risen one and a half to two times. This is a very serious burden on the healthcare system and medical organizations. I would like to know how much the budget is planned to be adjusted in this regard,” Rakhmatullin said.
The Minister of Finance said that the government is aware of the problem and is looking for ways to solve it.
“I know the problem. She herself personally talked with Moscow about this, so that the republic, in addition to the money that it allocates, would also receive federal support. With the latest decision, we increased the health care allocation by a round amount that is currently being traded, including for oxygen. These are medicines, and equipment, and oxygen. We know this problem and are trying with all our might to solve it,” Igtisamova said.
